Skåneleden SL6 Vattenriket: Kristianstad - Norra Lingenäset

The northern part of the stage runs through the Näsby Fields nature reserve with open meadows, shrub and reed areas, swamp forests, beach meadows and broadleaf forests. In the spring, you will be greeted by a lovely scent of flowering wild garlic, before you come out onto the coastal meadows along Helgeå. The meadows offer a rich bird life with curlew, lapwing and sea eagle.

There are several bird towers adjacent to the trail. One next to Isternäsets nature reserve, one just south of Araslövssjön and one at Norra Lingesnäset, a short distance northwest of Araslövssjön.

At Lillö you can take a break in the courtyard of the medieval castle ruins. The journey continues across the Helge å river through a swamp forest area into the Årummet nature reserve to Naturum Vattenriket and Kristianstad city center.
