Description

Treudden (the trident) is an ancient monument dating from the Iron Age, 400 BC. - 1050 AD The interpretations of the trident are ambiguous and there is not yet a definite reason why people put three or more stones in a triangle. The interpretations that exist are partly that it would be a burial site, but also that the triangle formed by the stones would function as some kind of boundary marking. The excavations made of tripods do not unequivocally indicate that all tripods were made up of burial sites. The theories are many and the mystery of the trident is not yet solved.
