Description

At a small hill along the old highway 50, a couple of kilometers north of Nykyrka is a small white croft with small red wing buildings.

The residential building consists of a large cottage, a small kitchen area and an unfurnished attic. In one wing there is a carpenter's shed and in the other a summer room. Right next door is a barn. This small farm is called Nubbekullen.

This is where August Malmström grew up, the artist behind Sweden's perhaps most famous painting. Feel free to try and ask your friends what they think is Sweden's most famous painting. Many will probably answer Grindslanten, but few know who painted it.
