Fålehagen's wetlands

In Fålehagen, just behind the archery range, there is this newly constructed wetland, or rather there are three small ponds and a larger one. These were created to benefit aquatic organisms such as amphibians and insects. The ponds were quickly filled with clear groundwater and already after a few hours several dragonflies, tailors and many other insects came here. Hopefully frogs and salamanders will establish themselves in the area in the coming years. Sand environments have also been created for pollinators in the area and holes have been drilled for bees in the dead wood in the grove behind.

At the ponds you will find a sign about life in the wetland and an insect hotel and a fauna depot will also be set up in the area.

Government grants for local nature conservation projects (LONA) co-finance the implementation of this project.
