Description
The beautiful red stable building just south of Ljuder Church was built in 1855 and served as a church stable when the parishioners came to church. The farmers built individual stalls where they could stable their horses while the service was ongoing, allowing the horses to rest in shelter. The land is owned by Ljuder Parish, and the church stables are a good example of a valuable environment surrounding the church and the rectory. On a sign by the church stables, there is an overview map showing where there used to be mission houses, church schools, and schools. Many of these have been moved or demolished.
