Grytö is located close to land in the south-eastern part of Lake Åsnen. From Växjö you drive straight south for about 40 minutes. The reserve is then southwest when you have passed Väckelsång.

You are welcome to visit the nature reserve, but please note that it is not allowed to:

1. during the period 1 April to 31 July, stay within the three areas marked on the map (see pdf under "More information"). For Grönön and Helgaholm-Rönneklätten, the access ban applies to the islands and a surrounding water area up to 100 meters from the islands (fishing license does not give the right to stay in the area with access ban)
2. put up a board, sign, inscription, poster or similar device
3. make a fire
4. camping or mooring a houseboat
5. organize orienteering, or marked trails
6. within the land or water area, take off or land with an aircraft, or drive a motorized vehicle, hydrocopter, hovercraft or similar motorized craft (does not apply to motorboats)
7. destroy or damage solid natural objects or surface formations, for example by drilling, painting, chiseling or otherwise damaging rocks, boulders, living natural objects or lying and standing dead trees
8. digging up, picking or breaking shrubs, rice, herbs, mushrooms, mosses and lichens, with the exception of picking berries and mushrooms for domestic use
9. disturbing wildlife, for example, by foolish behavior at a bird's nest, pot or similar
10. bring an unleashed dog or other loose domestic animal
11. collect insects, shells or other animals and their eggs, pupae or similar (fishing with a valid fishing license and in compliance with regulation 1 is permitted)
