Västra Vätterleden stage VV8 Furusjö - Mullsjö Hotell - Part of the Småland trail

Along the trail you will discover a landscape typical of the south-western side of Lake Vättern.

The trail is easy to walk and follows good paths with occasional low-traffic gravel or forest roads, comfortable shoes are recommended.

Towards Mullsjö you pass a mill house that is part of the Julared farm.

The farm is linked to an exciting history of counterfeiters. Initiator Anders Bengtsson was sentenced to death for counterfeiting during Charles XII's many wars in the 18th century.

However, he managed to escape, but the others involved received six years' hard labour.

Two kilometres south from Furusjö, you can walk the Northern St Sigfrid Trail towards Mullsjö.

To the east, the trail goes towards Habo and Fiskebäck's chapel where there are connecting trails that take you towards Jönköping and further down into Småland.
