Description

From Valbacken you have a view of Ingatorp village, the church and the Brusaån valley. The trail passes through Ingatorp, where the Art Nouveau church was built after a fire in 1914; the 15th-century triumphal crucifix remains from an older church.

After Ingatorp you walk along a former peat bog, where peat was mined until the 1960s - the area can be wet. The trail then passes Vada skure, a ravine with Kolebäcken at the bottom, where a rich flora of vascular plants, mosses and lichens thrive among willow, maple, hazel and beech.

Kråkshult's village street with old buildings and a church from the 19th century in the late Gustavian style is passed. Then follow the villages of Fågelhult and Åsa, separated by Kyrkebäcken. Fågelhult is a typical row village from the 1830s.

At Lilla Bjälkerum you pass the remains of an old mill from the Middle Ages. In the 1800s there was an industrial site here with a sawmill, dye works and smithy.
