Description

The Brötalyckorna nature reserve is a small, urban beech and oak forest area with many exciting and worthy of protection species linked to the large trees.

Sölvesborg municipality has established the nature reserve, which contains many species worthy of protection that thrive in forests with broadleaf trees. The rare species also thrive in large trees growing in open landscapes. Here you can find, for example, the beetles beech blossom beetle and ornamental beech beetle and the lichens shield lichen and pincushion lichen. In addition, the fungi sunflower, hedgehog mushroom and oxeye mushroom thrive in this environment.

Brötalyckorna is located close to the town along Brötalyckevägen, about two kilometers southwest of Sölvesborg railway station. There is no parking at the nature reserve but the nearest bus stop is "Falkvik Lövängsvägen", about 100 meters east of the nature reserve.

You are welcome to visit Brötalyckorna, but please note that it is not allowed to

dig or damage solid natural objects or surface formations
Damage stone walls, cairns or other cultural-historical remains
break branches, fell or otherwise damage living or dead trees and shrubs, or remove dead wood from the nature reserve
bring an unleashed dog, other than for hunting or searching, or other loose pets
light a fire, other than in a specially marked barbecue area
ride a bicycle or motorized vehicle, other than on roads designated for the purpose
ride or drive a horse other than on roads designated for vehicular traffic
camping, setting up a caravan or motor home for more than one day and then only in a designated parking lot
use a radio, CD player or similar in a disruptive manner, or otherwise cause disturbing noise
use the area for competitions, exercises, camp activities or similar.

Without permission from the county administrative board, you may not

conduct scientific research or investigative activities involving sampling or installation of equipment
picking mosses, lichens or fungi, digging up plants, other than for scientific research
capture or collect invertebrates other than for scientific research and only in a way that does not damage or destroy their habitat or reproductive environment.
