Jägaråsens utkikplats

Only a few hundred meters north of Kungsör's center is Jägaråsen's magnificent lookout, where you can look out over Lake Mälaren. Here is Rundelborg, which is also called Queen Kristina's riding arena and is a small labyrinth-like stone structure. According to legend, Queen Kristina stayed in Kungsör in the mid-17th century to escape the plague that ravaged the capital. During her stay, she is said to have used the stone as a riding arena when she practiced riding. It's a tranquil spot where you can experience the same beautiful views of Lake Mälaren that Queen Kristina once did. On the same crest you can also see the stone fortified foundation that is the remains of the hunting lodge that Johan III started in 1580. The construction was interrupted and never completed.
