Kulfors

In Kulfors nature reserve, you can find your own way through the fairly wet, leafy spruce forests. The forests are home to several species worthy of protection that are dependent on old natural forests, such as the violet-grey thorn lichen and the large aspen tick.

Be prepared that a visit may mean that you have to walk one to three kilometers before you reach the reserve. The forest roads north of the reserve are often closed with barriers.

In and around the reserve, the terrain is relatively flat and the reserve is therefore relatively easy to access on skis in the spring, even though the roads are not plowed. If you hike, ski or snowmobile on the Tvåälvsleden trail between Vindeln and Granö, you will pass south of the reserve after about half the distance.
