Description
Flatberget Nature Reserve is a large natural landscape consisting of three mountains, Flatberget, Mossaberget and the slightly lower Sörhobben with surrounding wetlands.
Spruce forests grow here, ranging from coarse and tall with mats of herbaceous vegetation on the ground to low-growing and sparse on lean land. The spruce forests are old and often adorned with long strands of hanging lichens.
Flatberget is located in the Stöttingfjäll area and there are several large nature reserves with forest and mire nearby. The reserve is most easily reached via the forest road that crosses the area and goes via Åttonträsk or Kroksjö/Myrträsk.
