Ersgard Farm Hotel and Pilgrim Hostel

The Farm Hotel is open all year round and offers quality food and beds for pilgrims walking alone or in groups up to 25 people.

Ersgard Farm is more than 250 years old, and is located 700 meters east of Mælen Bridge, where the St. Olav trail crosses the Stjørdal river, between Trondheim and Stiklestad.

In the main house, beds are ready made with linen and towels, ideal for hikers who travel light and want a bit of luxury. There is also a washing machine available in the house. Some rooms have access to kitchen, so please let us know in advance if you want to cook or your own food. Bathrooms are shared. The house is open all year round. Guests are welcome to order our soup dinners, self service breakfast and lunch wrap.

Ersgard is located in Stjørdal, just 5 km to nearest train station, Trondheim airport and shops. There are trains to Östersund, Oslo/Trondheim and Verdal (Stiklestad). You are also welcome to stay at Ersgard before or after your pilgrimage, if you have left over time.
