Örbackens kalkkärr naturreservat

There is a parking lot for about five cars next to the reserve. If you want to hike or cycle, you can follow the orange markings of the östgötaleden trail from Mjölby station through Mjölby town and Skogssjön nature reserve and finally to Örbackens nature reserve.

From the reserve parking lot, a short walk on a gravel road follows about 100 meters to the reserve. At the entrance to the reserve there are signs with a map, rules and information about the area. A marked trail runs in a circular loop through the pastures and the limestone bog and wooden footbridges take you dry-shod over the wet parts. In summer, the pastures are grazed by cattle. We are grateful if you do not bring your dog into the pasture as it can stress the grazing animals and make them scared and aggressive.

About 100 meters southeast of the parking lot there is a shelter with a fireplace. Picnic tables are available at the parking lot and inside the meadow in the reserve.

Parking for 5 cars is available at the reserve.

Örbacken kalkkärr is located between Skänninge and Mjölby. If you want to hike or cycle, you can follow the orange markings of the östgötaleden trail from Mjölby station through Mjölby town and Skogssjön nature reserve and finally to Örbacken nature reserve. By car, take the Ullekalv exit from highway 50, then follow signs to Örbackens nature reserve.
