Mallboden Café & Vandrarhem

Mallboden Café and Hostel has an idyllic location along the Göta Canal in the heart of Sweden's cradle of industry, Motala Verkstad. The premises have been used partly as workers' housing and partly as sheds where templates for boat building were stored. Mallboden Café is a café and hostel that has offers for you with a pilgrim's pass.

Booking: Must be pre-booked no later than 24 hours before your stay via website, telephone or email.

Season: spring, summer, autumn

Number of beds: A total of 29 beds spread over 8 apartments.

Price: From low season: single room 650 SEK, double room 850 SEK, triple room 1050 SEK, and quadruple room 1150 SEK

Payment method: Pay by Swish or debit card.

Facilities: Apartments with their own well-equipped kitchen. WC in the corridor and shower, WC and washing machine in a newly built service building.

Food: We offer food during the season May-October.

Grocery store, café and pizzeria are 500 meters from the accommodation.

Other: Sheets and towels are available for rent. Göta Canal Exhibition 70 meters from the accommodation.

Pilgrims Welcome offer: Free entrance to the canal exhibition is available upon presentation of a pilgrim pass. We also offer coffee.
