Description
Viewpoint on a hill in Kappsta nature reserve. Here are the remains of a log house, which was called Nidaros, after the original name of the city of Trondheim. The house was Trondheim's exhibition pavilion at the Stockholm Exhibition on Djurgården in 1897. After the exhibition ended, the house was transported to the Kappsta area and became a summer resort. Nidaros was richly decorated with dragon loops and runic texts, among other things. The house burned down after a lightning strike in July 1960. Today, only the foundation of the house and the remains of a terrace and ornamental pond remain.
