Description
The millpond was inventoried in 2014 and 145 flora and 117 fauna species were found. The mill pond existed already in the 17th century. The last mill on the site was demolished in 1943. Now the pond and the stone outlet remain. There is a sign and a sculpture with an old millstone. Common terns can be seen in the river in winter. The maximum depth of the pond is about 1.5m. Mölnaån, which fills up and passes the pond, is Kottlasjön's only outlet and flows into Värtan.
