From here you start your hike on the Östgötaleden trail north towards Linköping and south towards Rimforsa or Åtvidaberg.
Like many other large estates in the 17th century, a deer park was organized in Bjärka-Säby. The deer enclosure here is the oldest in the country that is still in use.
