Svedjan is one of four small primeval forest-like nature reserves that are all located close to each other near Ljungå. Svedjan is the smallest of the four reserves. It has a late-growing old spruce forest, large 250-year-old pines and red-listed wood fungi.

Directions

The starting point is Ljungå, about four miles south of Kälarne. The reserve is located just over a kilometer southeast of Ljungå, just off road 320.

  • destroy or damage fixed natural objects or surface formations
  • cut down or damage growing trees or remove plants or plant parts other than berries
  • hunting, trapping or deliberately killing animals and damaging or removing eggs and nests
  • carry a dog
  • erect a building or carry out cultivation
  • put up a poster, billboard or other disturbing device for advertising purposes.
