Description
Boa has a deciduous forest with beech and oak. The terrain is hilly, but it is easy to get around the scenic reserve on the forest roads in the area. Several valuable mosses and lichens have been found in the forest.
The reserve is located along the Ätran river on the western side of the southern Swedish highlands. Boa borders the Bergs Naturskog reserve to the north, and you can reach Boa by passing through the beautiful Bergs Naturskog.

Regulations
To protect the nature reserve, the County Administrative Board has decided on special regulations, including those that you as a visitor to the area must follow and respect.
In addition to what applies under other legislation, it is forbidden to:
- bring an unleashed dog with the exception of hunting with dogs or for searching,
- make fires
- put up a picture, poster, sign or make an inscription,
- set up a caravan or motorhome in the reserve between 22.00 and 06.00,
- drive a motorized vehicle, the prohibition does not apply to hunting rights holders when transporting moose, deer or wild boar,
- damage living or dead standing or lying trees and bushes,
- damage, pick or collect vascular plants, mosses, lichens or fungi, other than picking berries and edible mushrooms,
- catch and collect invertebrates without the permission of the County Administrative Board
- planting plant or animal species alien to the area
- without the permission of the County Administrative Board, conduct scientific studies that contravene the regulations, and
- organize camps or competitions without the permission of the County Administrative Board.
