Description
The new city library was built in 1993-1994 to designs by Björn Thyberger at Carl Nyrén's architectural office in Stockholm. The building has been adapted to the compact Tjädernhuset and the low buildings at Bos-Kalles gård next door. Outside the building is the granite sculpture Fönstret, by artist Åsa Herrgård. In the entrance there is a gate created by the artist Olle Kåks, a native of Hedemora.
