Teknisk uppgradering av Naturkartan måndag morgon

På måndag morgon driftsätter vi en stor teknisk uppgradering av Naturkartan som vi arbetat med i 18 månader. Uppgraderingen ger en snabbare och mer stabil plattform och lägger grunden för de nya funktioner som kommer i Naturkartan version 3 under hösten. Det kan förekomma kortare driftstörningar under början av veckan men vi gör vårt bästa för att lösa alla problem som uppstår. Description

Since the 16th century, the Pålsundet sound has been protected from invasions by fortifications. Historically, along the sea route from Vaxholm to Stockholm, ships had to pass by rows of driven piles in order to reach the city. In the early 18th century, this fortification was further strengthened with the addition of a cannon battery with four cannons. It was located where the base of the bridge stands today, on the Bogesund side. The current appearance of the battery dates back to the 1870s.

While taking a break at the picnic area at the top of the old battery, you can enjoy a view of the ruins, the Pålsundet sound and Vaxön island across the way.

Directions

By car: Bogesundslandet can be reached from Stockholm via Route 274 to Bogesundsvägen road, or via Vaxholm (also called Vaxön). From Vaxholm, take the bridge over to Bogesundslandet. By the base of the bridge, there is a parking lot with an informational sign. The Pålsund battery and picnic area is on the other side of Bogesundsvägen road.

By public transit: From Stockholm, take bus 670 or 671.

Regulations

In order to protect the Bogesundslandet nature reserve, please respect the following rules.

Within the reserve, it is forbidden to:

  1. destroy or damage rock, soil or stone by drilling, cutting, blasting, carving, digging, painting or similar,
  2. break branches, fell or in any other way damage living or dead trees and bushes or damage the vegetation in general by digging up plants,
  3. bring dogs that are not on a leash,
  4. camp for more than two consecutive nights outside of designated campsites,
  5. park a motorhome, caravan or other camping vehicle outside of designated campsites,
  6. anchor a boat at the same beach for more than two consecutive nights,
  7. make a fire outside of designated sites,
  8. put up signs, posters or similar,
  9. bike outside of designated bicycling trails while cycling off road,
  10. ride horses off road or outside of designated horse trails.
