Description
Right next to the main road about 600 meters north of Ornö church is the water-filled open pit after the Lugnet feldspar mine. Ornö's light-colored feldspar was considered to be of very high quality, and mining for porcelain production continued right into the 1960s. The mine is signposted from the road. North of Skinnardal, on the north-western side of Orno, is another large disused feldspar mine.

Ornö car ferry between Dalarö and Hässelmara or Waxholmsbåt from Dalarö to Ornöboda, Kyrkviken, Lättinge or Hässelmara. On the island there is also a bus line (889) that connects to some boat trips (see Waxholmsbolagets timetable).
