Description
A visit to Bogesund Castle takes you on a journey into the past. The castle was built by Per Brahe the Younger in the 1640s. He built multiple gardens around the castle and you can still see their traces in the form of old fruit trees. In the 1860s, the castle was rebuilt in the current medieval romantic style, with four towers.
Guided tours of the castle's exciting history are offered during the summertime, covering everything from the Swedish Empire up until the present day.
There are two hiking trails here: a long castle loop (8.5 km, "Stora slottsrundan") and a short castle loop (3.3 km, "Lilla slottsrundan").
