Description

At Bränneriet, the focus is on the proximity to the small and large adventures. The beautiful building was built in 1801 and was until the mid-19th century used as a farm distillery. The farm's own brandy was made here.

Wake up with the cultural and nature experiences around the corner - the Sörmlandsleden, for example, literally passes outside the door. Our goal is for you to get close to nature and culture in a simple and accessible way. There are plenty of marked trails in direct proximity to your accommodation, both for shorter and longer distances, and bicycles, canoes and rowing boats are available for rent for the adventurous.

Enjoy a home-cooked dinner on the pier or in our fine dining room overlooking the lake. Listen to the sound of the crackling fire in the sauna and finish with a cooling dip in the adjacent Rundbosjön. Take time for reflection and recovery for both young and old. You live in beautifully decorated rooms with divinely comfortable beds. Breakfast packages can be ordered when booking.

Nynäs Castle comes to life in summer. This is the time to visit exhibitions, the farm shop and our own Restaurant Nynäs. If you want to get an insight into the manor life, we also recommend the excellent guided castle tour.

In addition to the Bränneriet hostel, we also offer accommodation in our own state cottage, shop or forest hut during the summer season. Perfect for those who want to own their experience and enjoy the peace.

Bränneriet hostel is part of Region Sörmland and is managed by Sörmlands Naturbruk. We are so happy that you are thinking of spending time in this amazing place. At Nynäs there are many adventures for young and old - which will you choose?

We welcome you warmly to the Distillery at Nynäs Castle!

Directions

Bränneriet is most easily reached by car, although it is also possible to travel by train or bus to Vagnhärad and from there order a taxi to Nynäs Castle (a journey that takes about 20 minutes). If you come by car from Stockholm (a journey that takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes), take exit 138 towards Trosa / Vagnhärad from E4, or exit 135 towards Tystberga. Then follow the signs to Nynäs / Studsvik. You can unload your bags outside the hostel and you will find free parking at the castle, about 300 meters from the hostel.

Many choose to come here by bike, as both the Sweden Trail and the Näckros Trail pass here.

On foot, you can get to us via the Sörmlandsleden, where stages 51 and 52 pass here.
