Description
The reserve's most valuable assets are found in the old swamp forests, where both deciduous swamp forests with alder and birch as well as pine swamp forests offer a unique environment.
In these swamp forests there is a constant humidity, which creates an ideal habitat for many different mosses, lichens and fungi. The old trees and the abundance of dead wood provide the perfect foundation for a varied and interesting flora. A special lichen flora is found in the reserve, where several rare and exciting species are represented. Among these can be mentioned lichen, yarn lichen and cat's foot lichen. The lichen, an endangered species, has special requirements for its environment and thrives best in areas with very high humidity.

Directions
Hårskärrmossen is located about 5 km southeast of Strångsjö. From Strångsjö, go towards Forssjö and turn towards Glindran. After 3.5 km turn right towards Löppsjötorp. After 1.8 km, turn left. The reserve is then on the left after about 800 m. The nature reserve has no parking lot.
Regulations

- anordna lägerverksamhet,
- anordna tävlingar.
