Description

Högebjär is well known amongst butterfly enthusiasts. Around 40 different species of butterfly have been found in the area, making it the most species-rich in Lund Municipality. Among the species that have been found, the large blue and niobe fritillary are two of the rarest. The area has been grazed for a long time and is one of the few fragments of a large continuous pasture that once existed at Romeleåsen. It is precisely the grazing and the flora favoured by grazing, that have in turn benefited the butterflies. Among the plants found here, the gentian Gentiana baltica and lousewort are two of the most interesting.

If you need to use your car, the closest car park is just south of Road 11, next to the southern part of the Reserve. From here you can take the underpass under the road to get to the northern part of the Reserve.

The nearest bus stop is Knivsåsen, which is right next to the Reserve. To get between the southern and the northern part of the Reserve, use the underpass that goes under the road.

For example, it is forbidden to:

keeping a dog unleashed
make fires

ride a bicycle outside designated cycle paths

Full regulations for visitors

In addition to regulations and prohibitions in other laws and regulations, it is forbidden to:

digging or otherwise damaging solid natural objects or surface formations
start a fire,
remove dead wood, break branches, fell or otherwise damage living or dead trees and bushes,
bring an unleashed dog or other stray pet
deliberately disturb wildlife, for example by taking close-up photographs of birds' nests,
camping or setting up a caravan, camping car or similar,
ride a bicycle other than on designated bicycle paths and motorized vehicles other than in parking spaces and on roads to and from these parking spaces,
use a sound system, musical instrument or similar in a disruptive manner,
affixing a board, sign, inscription, poster, signpost or similar device,

Furthermore, it is prohibited without the permission of the County Administrative Board:
10. kill, capture or collect insects or other animals, or otherwise harm wildlife
11. planting plant or animal species alien to the area.
