Description

Dalby Norreskog is located just outside of central Dalby and contains a variety of natural habitats. Here you will find both young and old oak woodland, beech woodland, alder carr, and pastures. The Reserve is adjacent to Dalby Söderskog National Park to the south and to Skrylle in the north-east. Dalby Norreskog and Dalby Söderskog are part of an area formerly known as Dalby Hage when the whole area was used for grazing. Between the two woodland areas, there is a pasture that is still kept open by the constant grazing by cattle and horses. This pasture is now part of Dalby Norreskog Nature Reserve. Take the opportunity to visit both sites on the same day – then you will experience mixed woodland on nutrient-rich soils in the south, open pastures between the two woodlands and the woodland on poorer soils in the north on the same walk.
