Description

The popular Viggebysandsbadet is located in Viggeby nature reserve at Järnlunden. At the bath there is parking, sandy beach, large grassy areas, jetty, bathing raft, barbecue areas, changing rooms, bathing ramp and dry toilet. South of the bath are the municipality's best bathing rocks.

Firewood for the barbecue areas is usually available on site, but if you want to be absolutely sure that you can make a fire, we recommend that you bring your own firewood or charcoal.

Changing rooms, bathing ramp and toilet are accessible. This means that they are possible to visit with, for example, a wheelchair or stroller.

The Environment and Public Works Administration, Linköping Municipality, is responsible for maintenance.

By motor vehicle: From highway 23/34 between Linköping and Rimforsa, about 2 km north of Brokind, turn towards Viggeby nature reserve at the signposted exit. Follow signs past Brokinds farm to the reserve, just over 2 km. Continue past the exit to the marina and park at the Östra parking lot or Viggebysand, which is the reserve's main entrance and large parking lot, where the public road ends.

Via public transport, bicycle or walking, you can start from Brokinds vägkors, next to highway 23/34 (bus stop Brokinds vägkors or Brokinds gård). Follow the small road towards Kinda kanal/Brokinds gård, pass the lock, the castle and the farm buildings. Then continue along the entrance road to the reserve as above. It is about 2 km from Brokinds road junction to Viggebysand.
