Description
Uvmarö archipelago forest consists of coniferous forest on rocky areas, deciduous swamp forests and peatlands. The terrain is relatively flat, and in the southern part there are mountain heights with precipices. Large parts of the forest have been left untouched for a long time, which has created a particularly valuable forest environment with a rich presence of old trees and dead wood. This is of great importance for a number of rare and vulnerable plant and animal species. A marked hiking trail goes around the reserve's fine natural environments and also leads to a viewpoint with views of the archipelago.
