På cykel längs Göta Kanal, Mem - Asplången

Cycling along the canal is a peaceful experience. At a slow pace, you can enjoy the unique canal environment with boating, locks and people along the canal. You cycle on the gravel towpath, which is car-free. Along the route there is accommodation, places to eat and interesting sights. Here you are met by beautiful natural and cultural environments. The Göta Canal is open for boat traffic from May to September. During the high season, the canal is used by both pleasure boats and passenger boats, as there are also many cyclists on the towpaths. In the autumn, the tree avenue along the canal provides a colorful experience.

The stage ends at Lake Asplången, but if you want to continue the cycling adventure, you can take the bicycle boat across Asplången from Söderköping Golf Club to Hulta Lock. It is also possible to cycle on the road via the 210 to brådtom lock and then along the canal to Hulta.
