Description
Lilla Rängen is located at Brokind between Järnlunden and Stora Rängen. The lake is elongated and quite shallow. It was lowered in the 1800s and is now at the same level as Stora Rängen. Fishing is mainly for pike and perch, but the species-rich lake also contains zander, burbot, bream, tench and a dozen other fish species.
The lake is part of the Ärlången-Rengensjöarnas fisheries management area. You can buy a fishing license at Hultins sportfiske in Linköping and in the grocery stores in Sturefors, Bestorp, Grebo and Brokind. The card entitles you to fish in Stora and Lilla Rängen, Ärlången and in the Kinda canal between the lakes.

Directions
There is no obvious starting point for angling in Lilla Rängen. If you want to fish from land, the windbreak at Simmersvik at the southern entrance to the Västerby lövskogar nature reserve is a nice place. You get here if you take highway 23/34 towards Kisa. Three kilometers after Skeda udde, turn left towards Västerby. Continue for five kilometers until you come to a three-way intersection. Here you turn right and continue 700 meters and you will see the entrance on the right side. You can reach the shelter by following the orange-marked path a short distance west from the entrance.
