Forsum - Gusum, Östgötaleden

Feel free to start the hike at Forsum's old-growth forest nature reserve, where there is parking, a picnic area with tables and a fireplace.

The stage begins on a forest path through Forsum's nature reserve and continues south on gravel roads and paths. You can glimpse Strolången, but if you want a view of the lake, a detour to Jätteberget is recommended.

The trail crosses the Byngsboån river and takes you to Lake Byngaren where there is a windbreak in a pasture. South of the shelter you will find a nice bathing cliff. The trail crosses the Gusumsån river at a power station and passes under the E22 through a road culvert.

The last bit to Gusum goes on nice forest paths and exercise tracks. In the community of Gusum there is a grocery store and bus stop.

Grazing animals may be present along the stage.
