Description
This paddling route stretches from Överkalix camping along the Kalix River 8 km to the bridge in Svartbyn.
From the campsite, you start by getting out into the stream and then you can easily pass the rocks at the beginning of the route. Paddle with the current, enjoy and take a break on one of the nice beaches along the route. Just before the bridge, there is a spot on the left side to go ashore.
Good to know!
Note that the Kalix River is very current and suitable for experienced paddlers.
Canoes are available for rent from Explore The North / Överkalix camping.
