Description

**St. Peter's Church is one of Västervik's two churches. The church is open all year round and many musical events are organized here.

St. Peter's Church was built between 1903 and 1905, architect A.E. Melander, who also designed Västervik's station house. The cost of the church with the huge terraces was SEK 380,000. The baptismal font was made at Gusum Mill in 1664. Two magnificent organs, an Åerman and Lund organ from 1905 when the church was new and a Marcussen and Son organ inaugurated in 1968 in connection with a renovation of the church, are responsible for the musical sounds in the church.
