Description
Lättstugan is a small museum where old lady Lätt once cured the villagers .
In 1834, Karl-Magnus Lätt and Britta Stina Larsdotter get married. They moved into Ljungby, which is the correct name for Lättstugan. They had many children, including their daughter Johanna Sofia. Mother and daughter were called wise women and they could 'cure' many ailments.
In 1984, the renovation of Lättstugan began under the auspices of Tuna Hembygdsföreningen. Today the cottage is in the condition it once was when the wise women ruled there, with period furniture, household utensils and some of their aids are on display.
If you want to make a visit, pre-book it with Ingrid Thornberg on telephone 0491-44 01 00.
