Repperdaortens fvof

Repperdaorten Fishing Area includes a part of river Emån between Bruksgården power station and the bridge in Tälläng. This river stretch is comprised of slow-flowing parts which, from time to time, are interrupted by faster currents.

We visited the river an evening in the end of april, a day when the sun was shining from a blue sky and for the first time of the year forced the temperature towards 20 degrees Centigrade. It was an evening to remember, not only because of the first warming sunbeams this spring, but also because of the loud splashes of water, which made the pulse run faster – chub! Is there anything more thrilling than letting a piece of bread slowly flow with the current and, just before it reaches the faster currents downstream, disappear in a loud slurping chub-splash? And the following fight, before the heavy fish reaches the inside of the net. Fish species in the area Pike, perch, brown trout, roach, bream, tench, crucian carp, chub, bleak and burbot.
