Description

Welcome to Lufsebäcken!

The creek Lufsebäcken is surrounded by open deciduous forest. The creek itself is the reason why this is a nature reserve. It is classified as a creek with special national values. It has streaming parts that are valuable for many water living insects but also for trout and European river lamprey. The creek is open all the way to Lake Vättern, which is essential to those species of fish that live in the lake but spawns in the creek.

Explore the reserve

This is a brand new reserve and there is yet no information sign or border markings. It is not, and will not, be prepared for visitors. You are still welcome to come here if you want, but on nature's own terms.

Regulations for visitors

The usual right of public access do not apply fully in the nature reserve. In addition to all other legal restrictions you are prohibited from:

  • destroying or damaging permanent natural objects or surface formations
  • damaging fallen or standing dead trees and bushes or parts of fallen or standing dead trees and bushes
  • digging up plants
  • collecting mosses, lichens or fungi with exception from occasional specimen needed for determination of species that cannot be done out in the field, and picking mushroom for household requirements.

Without permission from the County Administrative Board you are also prohibited from:

  • putting up any kind of sign or poster
  • collecting invertebrates with killing traps
  • carrying out scientific research that is not covered by the Right of Public Access (Allemansrätten).
