Kävsjön trail

You can start your hike from four different entrances: the ‘Naturrum’, (nature information centre), Kävsjö, Svänö and Östra Rockne. If you start at the ‘Naturrum’, a paper is guide available for the entire route, which you will find in the box at the car park. The paper guide is designed to be followed clockwise around the lake. There is a rest cottage, firepit and composting toilet at Svänö.

The trail goes mostly through the forest with detours to a birdwatching tower on the Kävsjö side and one at Svänö. On the eastern side of the lake you enter Högmossen itself. Where the trail forks, you can take the eastern trail and join the Svartgölsleden trail via an accessible footbridge out to Svartgölen. If you take the western trail, you will join the Gungflyleden trail towards the ‘Naturrum’, so there is no need to cross road 151.
