Illern Fishing waters

The lake is located in the Illern nature reserve east of central Tranås. As the lake is in the middle of the nature reserve, the water is clear and rich in animal life. The beach consists mostly of stones and gravel and Illern has a moderate spread of reeds. You need a fishing licence to fish in Illern, which you can buy at the retailers below.

Boat rental: Members of the Tranås Sportfishing Association can rent a boat through: Statoil, Mjölbyvägen, +46 (0)140-149 03. Price SEK 20/day.
Fish species: Plenty of pike, also perch, roach, bream, and rudd.
Restrictions: Total fishing ban 15 July to 20 August due to crayfish fishing.
