The reserve is located two miles west of Åre village. From road E14 you drive north, along the forest road east of Gevsjön. After 2.6 kilometers, before Gevsjönäset, you turn right and barely two kilometers later you arrive at the reserve's border.

Welcome to Nyvallen-Rännberg. Keep in mind that within the reserve it is not allowed to:

• make fires, except in specially designated places
• capture, disturb or harm mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles, as well as damage their nests and spawning grounds or collect eggs
• climbing nest trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 meters to a bird of prey's nest, lair or burrow
• disturbing the ground or rocks
• felling growing or dead trees and removing or processing windfalls and dead wood
• picking and collecting natural products (such as wood fungi, lichens and mosses) except berries and edible mushrooms
• collecting invertebrates, such as beetles and land molluscs
• driving motorized vehicles off-road throughout the area
• marking trails, setting up orienteering controls or organizing competitions
• constructing snowmobile trails.

Paragraph 2 does not prevent the practice of hunting. Point 8 does not prevent the off-road transportation of felled moose. This presupposes that vehicles with low ground pressure are used and that the shortest and most suitable route for transport is chosen.
