Description
Vinberg is a scenic area with open land, deciduous forests and running water. Unlike most other nature reserves in the county, it is a municipally established reserve managed by the municipality itself.
The Vinån river meanders through the reserve. Over the centuries, it has cut its way down into the valley's glacial river sediment and formed steep ravines along the banks. Lush alder forests line the river. The lush forest is a welcome feature of the open agricultural landscape that surrounds the nature reserve. Here in the shade of the trees, species such as marsh saxifrage, woodruff, creeping sedge, tufted sedge, spring barley, marsh fritillary and missile.
