Facts
In Äskhult you step straight into a genuine 19th century village with roots in the 17th and 18th centuries. When you leave the parking lot, there is not much that reminds you of our own time. An endlessly beautiful lane leads to the village.
The four farms from the 1700-1800s; Göttas, Jönsas, Bengts and Derras are unpainted and shimmer beautifully silver gray around the small village square. The village underwent a major parcel in 1825 and a legal parcel in 1864, but the farms were not split up and remain in their original places and this is unique in Sweden.
