Description
Here on the shores of Lake Tolken, Birger Svensson, the founder of Monarkfabrik, built his vacation paradise in the 1930s. Unfortunately, he did not get to enjoy his retreat for very long, dying in 1944 aged only 61. Agnbäck was donated to the town of Varberg with the proviso that the facility would serve as a children's colony for mainly Monark employees.
Today, Agnbäck is the hub of Kungsjölederna and with its scenic location and with opportunities for fishing, canoeing, hiking, etc. a real gem for nature lovers.
