Description
When the ice on Lake Storsjön is deemed safe enough, a track for long-distance skating is plowed between Strandbaden in Årsunda and Hedåsbadet in Sandviken. The track is about 15 km long and is managed by Årsunda IF on behalf of Sandviken municipality.
The track is about 15 km long in one direction, or 30 km back and forth. This includes Ursaslingan, about 8 km.
Plowing and tracking takes place mainly before weekends. All work is done by volunteers.
