Description
Stone bench with inscription on one side and the outline of Färnebofjärden on the top. A memorial stone to King Carl XVI Gustaf, who inaugurated the national park right here in 1998. There used to be a wooden lectern in which the king stood at the inauguration. This eventually rotted away and has been replaced by this memorial stone. The stone was flown to the site by helicopter on National Parks Day, 22 May 2016, when the new joint identity for Sweden's national parks was inaugurated in Färnebofjärden. County Governor Per Bill gave a speech.
