Huvudentré Sevedskvarn

At the main entrance to the national park, in the Sevedskvarns area, there is an information point, parking spaces, shelters and fireplaces. There are toilets, one of which is accessible.

The main entrance to the national park is in the Sevedskvarns area, about 2.5 kilometers south of Gysinge. This is the heart of the national park and all the typical habitats of the river landscape are represented. The main entrance is located next to the roaring rapids with the moon-green river channels so typical of the Nedre Dalälven. There is also lush deciduous forest, dry pine land, old spruce forest, river meadows and floodplain forest.

Near the parking lot there are information boards, accessible toilet and shelter with fireplaces. An accessible nature trail winds along the riverbank. Several hiking loops and longer hiking trails start from here. Cycling is only permitted on the roads.

The area at the main entrance will undergo a major redevelopment in the coming years.
