Description
The municipal nature reserve Stadssjön is a green oasis in the urban parts of the Hovran area. Along the hiking trail you can walk or roll straight through wetlands, experience rainforest-like deciduous swamp forest, and look out over the open meadows where cows graze. From the newly built viewing tower you can look out over the beautiful landscape. If you're lucky, the white-tailed eagle may glide by, or you may hear the rosefinch singing. During spring and fall, the reserve is visited by large numbers of resting birds
You can get around the Stadssjön nature reserve via the hiking trail and the approximately 300 m long footbridge. Whether you walk, run, roll in a wheelchair, lie in a stroller, or use a walker, you have the same opportunity to explore the area.
In 2020, a couple more smaller towers and some rest areas will be completed. In addition, the entire visitor destination will of course be signposted. Stadssjön will be an area for both exercise and relaxation.
