Siljansleden, Nybron till Fryksås

From Nybron, Siljansleden climbs up towards Näsberg and on towards Fyriberg. The trail then goes through Rädåns nature reserve up towards Fryksås.

Näsberg:

Näsbergs fäbodar is located on the southern slope of Hustjärnberg, at an altitude of 420 meters. Näsberg is a relatively dense pasture environment located in a high, beautiful location. Until 1984 there were sheep on the pasture.

A road runs through the pasture, and from the road, sheep trails lead out into the surrounding landscape. In the eastern part of the pen, just north of the road, there is a water source. According to an old legend, trolls watered their animals here in Trollokar.

Fyriberg:

Fyribergs fäbodar is beautifully situated on a steep southern slope with magnificent views of Våmdalen and Orsasjön. Along the road and out in the fields there are large cairns. In the northern part of the fäbodvallen at the Maypole site there is a large welcoming hut with table, fireplace and toilet.

The name probably comes from the Swedish and Norwegian dialect word fyre, meaning "pine forest, wood".
