Due to the storm Johannes, there are many trees lying over the trails and it is difficult to get around in parts of the area. We are working to fix this, but it may take some time until all trails are fixed. Watch out for fallen trees, leaning trunks, hanging branches and other signs of instability in the forest.

Description

Welcome to a small nature area with unusually many types of nature. Take a walk along the path. Sit at the log cabin or on a bench in the woods. Enjoy flowers, birds singing, and the brook's noise.

The nature you meet is very varied and varied. The open ground in the northern part of the area is grazed to be kept open. It benefits many species that thrive in this type of landscape. The forest is dominated by coniferous forest, but there are also fine deciduous forests. At the bottom of the valley, Sandbäcken winds its way through dense swamp forests. Most of the woods must be free to develop in order to preserve and strengthen the natural values that exist.

From the parking lot, it is just a short way down to the meadow where the log booth lies. Here is a fireplace, wood and dry gas. From the logbook, marked leads are deleted. The area is quite hilly, so in several places there are benches for rest and rest.

Parking is available adjacent to the nature reserve.

Take bus 242 or 246 to Bjursås. Get off at the Prästslingan stop.

From highway 70, turn towards Bjursås center. Pass the Coop store and the church. Continue about 400 m, turn right at the sign Bjursås prästskog. Turn immediately left down to the parking lot.
